Boing Boing carried this wonderful link today, to an artist who created an animation of the shape of a robot walking. The artist then made a stencil of each frame of the animation, and sprayed them on different backdrops around town. Then he photographed each one in sequence and spliced them all into a video. Great idea, very effective.
